Managing devices (Control)
Applies to Shield Core, Edge & Vault
The Control page lists every device on your network and lets you manage each one individually. This is where you pause the internet or Shield protection for a single device — without changing anything for everyone else.

- Devices Seen — how many devices are on your network.
- Filtering Paused — how many have Shield protection paused.
- Internet Paused — how many have internet access paused.
- Last Updated — when the list last refreshed.
Connected Devices
The live list of devices. Use Refresh to scan again. The filter buttons — All, Active, DHCP, Paused Shield, Paused Internet — narrow the list so you can find a device quickly.
Pausing a device
For any device you can pause its internet access, or pause Shield protection just for that device. This is the per-device counterpart to the whole-network Pause on the Shield page.
Internet pause may take up to a minute to apply across the network.
Tips & troubleshooting
- Use Control for one device (for example, pause a child's tablet at bedtime); use the Shield page when a change should apply to everyone.
- If a device isn't listed, press Refresh — newly connected devices can take a moment to appear.
