What protection really costs
Subscriptions look small by the month. Over the life of a device, they aren't. We did the maths so you don't have to.

$424 founding (AUD, inc GST) · $574 standard from unit 21, plus $25 delivery in Australia
$424 founding · $574 standard, plus $25 delivery in Australia — nothing more to pay
At the founding price, a Shield Core costs less than three years of one parental-control app — and in year four it keeps filtering at $0.
And you don't have to take the tables on faith: Try Shield on your own network for 30 days. If it isn't right for your home, send it back — prepaid label, full refund.
Competitor prices are public list prices, checked July 2026; converted USD figures are approximate. Where a price depends on platform or billing period, the lowest published rate is shown ("from"). Subscription products can change price or plan structure at any time. See the full comparison →
The founding price is the price you pay. Checkout shows that single price, in Australian dollars, with nothing added but the delivery on your card. Standard prices of $574 / $664 / $914, plus $25 delivery in Australia, apply from unit 21, once the founding batch is gone.
Paying in four — and why it still isn't a subscription.
At checkout you can split the total into 4 interest-free fortnightly payments with Afterpay ($106.00 for a $424 Shield Core), or pay with Zip. Then the payments end. That's the whole point — four payments and it's yours, and we're done charging you. A subscription never sends that last invoice.
The total is identical either way — splitting the payment never changes the price.
Your agreement is with Afterpay or Zip, on their terms and approval; the device, the 30-day home trial and the 12-month warranty come from us either way.
Nothing recurring from WOMBATS, ever — no account with us, no renewal, no fee that can lapse.
Owned outright, a Shield Core works out at about 39¢ a day — under $3 a week — over three years; a Vault about 66¢ a day. Not a payment plan, just the honest arithmetic of buying something once. The full subscription maths →

Delivery
Free in Australia and New Zealand during the founding batch; $89 Express courier elsewhere ($129 to the Middle East).
Prices in Australian dollars
GST included for delivery in Australia; no Australian GST on export orders. Tax invoice emailed.
30-day home trial
Use it at home for 30 days (AU/NZ households). If it isn't right, prepaid label and a full refund.
Dispatch: within 2 weeks of order. Founding-edition Shields are hand-built, so we confirm a dispatch date by email after your order.
Delivering outside Australia? Founding orders also go to New Zealand, with free dispatch, and by Express courier to Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom and Ireland ($89), and the United Arab Emirates ($129). They are GST-free exports: choose the country under “Delivering to” and the cards show the export price, which carries no Australian GST. The courier rate covers freight and customs handling only; any destination duties or local taxes remain the buyer's responsibility.
What founding members get
A founding price, locked in for life.
The first 20 Shields are reserved for founding members. Founding pricing stays with you for any future Shield you buy from us, no matter what the standard price becomes.
Founding price locked in for life across our line
A numbered founding-edition card in the box
Direct line to the engineers building Shield
First look at new firmware and features
An invitation to the founding-members community
Shield Vault storage
Shield Vault ships with a 256 GB internal SSD, encrypted when you switch it on at first setup (it needs a passphrase and a recovery key only you hold). If you'd like 1 TB, 2 TB or 4 TB instead, capacity upgrades are quoted at fulfilment: choose your size after ordering and we'll confirm the upgrade and its price by email. We build each Vault by hand during the founding batch, so every one is made to spec.
